A Story of a Stork

The Náprstek Museum, Prague, holds in its collection a mummy of large bird. mummy, along with other ancient Egyptian antiquities, was transferred to the National Museum 1933 from Esterházy manor Tomášikovo, Slovakia. Originally, it believed be human child; however, examination through initially destructive and later non-destructive methods identified object as stork, sacred ibis.
